Outdoor recreation in spatial planning

The project studies the integration of outdoor recreation in the physical planning work of local authorities and county administrative boards. The outcome of the project will be relevant to all parties engaged in the practical planning, management and conservation of rural areas.

The researchers will primarily focus on;

  • methods forspatial planning of outdoor recreation
  • the interaction between municipal planning, outdoor recreation and nature conservation
  • the interaction between local and regional planning
