Outdoor recreation patterns

This project describes the different patterns of outdoor recreation in Sweden; including the study of reasons for participation among different groups, participation and non-participation in outdoor recreation and eco-tourism.

Some examples of the questions:

  • What do the participants do, where and what are their reasons?
  • Would they rather be doing other activities and/or in other parts of the country?
  • What groups are not involved in outdoor recreation and why?
  • What trends are particularly important for outdoor recreation?
